UJA Parents,
Saturday, May 3, 2025, is a special day for our Ukiah Seventh-day Adventist Church. We call it Education Sabbath, a celebration of our church/school relationship. This church funds about half of the school’s $1.4 million operating expense, even though less than 20% of our students are members of the congregation. Without the financial support from the church, we would not be able to provide an option for Christian education in our town. Ukiah Junior Academy is the church’s service and mission to the community. This church loves our school, and it shows!
In the Spring, the church and school dedicate a church service to Education Sabbath. This is an opportunity for our members to be blessed by the students, staff, and faculty leading the worship service. UJA students will lead the worship songs, and the school choirs will add their voices to the service. I will have a short worship talk titled, “Just Let Me Love You”.
We would be honored to have your family celebrate Education Sabbath with us on May 3rd. It would mean so much to our church members to have all of our school families attend. The service starts at 11:00 AM, but I’m sure Mrs. Rice will have further instructions about when she would like students to arrive for warm-up and preparation for their part in the service.
